Welcome

Launched in 2012 and located at Indiana University, the Center for International Media and Law and Policy Studies explores global legal and policy issues at the intersection of freedom of journalism and digital media, including social media and artificial intelligence.

The Center fulfills its mission by initiating and supporting multidisciplinary research in any methodology that expands understanding of current controversies about how news is gathered and reported through digital media and the effects of AI on freedom of journalism. The Center also educates the public, students, and other constituencies about these issues through speaker events and opportunities for students to engage with experts and relevant topics.
